S&T has signed an agreement with Pune-based Garware Motors for their Indian ventures. Garware Motors is supposed to invest Rs. 20 crore to set up their assembly facility at Wai in Maharashtra. Their aim is to prduce 8-10 bikes every day on a single shift.
Hyosung superbikes
S&T Motors President and CEO Taekwon Kim told at the launch event in Delhi, “India is really moving in the right direction and so we are here. It is the right time and right place for us.”
In association with Garware Motors, S&T supposed to assemble the two Hyosung products at the newly built assembly facility at Wai.
Hyosung brand entered India in 2004 under its original management. However after S&T group take over Hyosung motors division brand in 2007, Hyosung has a new management. But they are keeping the brand name ‘Hyosung’ intact.
