Audi has launched its new entry-level luxury sedan A3 on Thursday in India at a base price of Rs 22.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new Audi A3 will be available in both petrol and diesel variants – 177.5bhp 1.8-litre TFSI direct-injection turbo-petrol engine powered by seven-speed gearbox and a 141bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine with six-speed automatic ‘box.
While the diesel variant comes in four trims – Attraction, Premium, Premium Plus and Technology, the petrol variant is available in single trim – Premium Plus.
The Audi A3 has all kind of luxury features. The car has Bi-xenon headlamps with LED daytime-running lamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, a retractable 7-inch display for the multimedia infotainment system, touchpad with handwriting recognition. It comes with auto dual-zone air-conditioning, electrically adjustable front seats, a rear view camera, panoramic sunroof and seven airbags.
Speaking to PTI, the Audi India Head Joe King said, “We think this is the right product for self driven, young customers in urban environment. Besides, we are also looking to those existing Audi customers who are looking for second car with the A3. We expect 15 per cent of our total sales to come from this model,”
