The Tab A boasts of a 8 inch XGA (1024 X 768) display unit with 4:3 aspect ratio, under the hood, it’s powered by a 64 bit Quad-Core processor chipset supported by 2 GB of RAM. There is 16 GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128 GB with the help of a Micro SD card.
For the photography enthusiasts the Tab A houses a 5-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel camera up front that’s just about sufficient for all the selfie needs as well as video calling needs. To power the Tab there is a 4,200 mAh battery which may be a bit on the lower side. The connectivity options include 4G LTE with voice calling, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 etc.
As for the software, the Tab A runs on android lollipop 5.0 which is among the latest versions of android, TouchWiz UX the custom skin developed by Samsung is still present just like the Tab E or any other Samsung phone/Tab.
Samsung is also bundling a couple of offers to entice buyers. Galaxy Tab A buyers will get free 2GB of 4G data for a period of two months.
