The benchmark BSE Sensex bounced back by 115 to 28,997.81 in the late dawn on Thrusday. It opened high at 28,912.38 and was dangling in the range of 29,054.26 and 28,824.88 before striking the figures at 28,997.81 at 11.00 am. The affirmation for this would be the weakness of the rupee against the dollar.
On the other hand, the rupee went staggering at 16 paise against the mighty US Dollar.
As a result, the revenues of the IT firms have a boosted export.
The companies that hence gained momentum were Wipro (2.42 per cent), HUL (2.13 per cent), Axis Bank (2.13 per cent), HDFC (1.99 per cent), Infosys (1.63 per cent), Coal India (1.33 per cent), TCS (1.21 per cent) and HDFC Bank (1.19 per cent). As quoted in The Times of India.
