Facebook has overtaken Microsoft websites in Britain as per Last month’s result. It makes Facebook second-most popular website in Britain after Google.
In May, 33.9 million visitors visit Google, 26.8 million visitors browsed Facebook and 26.2 million visited Microsoft‘s MSN/WindowsLive/Bing sites combined. Facebook’s visits up by 7% compared to last year.
As per UKOM/Nielsen survey people over 50 age group love to browse Facebook more than Microsoft.
UKOM general manager James Smythe told,”The growth in audiences to these social networks is now primarily being driven by the 50-plus age group. Just a few years ago, this group may have found itself out of place on these sites,”
Twitter is another site which gets a rapid growth in terms of visitors. Another Business network LinkedIn, had registered 3.6 million UK visitors in May up by 57%from a year earlier.
