According to the media reports, the Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley is likely to present his first Union Budget for 2014-15 in the second week of July.
Arun Jaitley is currently busy meeting with top industry leaders, financial experts, state finance ministers and other major industry players to take stalk of various aspects before presenting the first major economic agenda from the Narendra Modi government. His priority would be on fiscal consolidation, reviving growth and investment and tax policies.
Investors are looking forward to get a clear picture on the government’s strategy on reviving growth, curbing inflation, decreasing subsidies and policy for manufacturing sectors.
Arun Jaitley has to announce some big steps to revive slow growth which has gone down to 5% for the last two years. Also people are expecting the finance minister to announce tax relief for middle class households.
