India’s largest mobile phone operator Bharti Airtel is going to stop 3G services in seven regions in India later this month.
Airtel has violated the norm of telecom department and they are asked to pay 350 crore fines.
Airtel does not have license to provide high-end data services to these seven regions but it has been providing 3G services through roaming pacts with Vodafone and Idea Cellular.
DoT will slap notices to Vodafone and Idea Cellular soon.
Bharti has not officially announced it yet.
