Snowpiercer, the movie by Bong Joon-ho has been awarded as the Best Film at 33rd Korean Association of Film Critics Awards. Not only was the Best Picture the movie also awarded Best Director and Cinematography. One of the most expensive Korean movies, this dystopian thriller set aboard a train, has been an international success earning one of the highest box-office grosses across the world. The movie will be releasing in a whooping 167 countries.
Starring Chris Evans and Tilda Swinton, the plot revolves in future where a failed global-warming experiment kills off most life on the planet; a class system evolves aboard the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe via a perpetual-motion engine.
As Harvey Scissorhands is rumored to be tangling with Bong over final cut for the US version of the film, no US release date is being fixed despite the fact that the distribution lies with the Weinstein Company.
