The first trailer of Grace Of Monaco is out. It flaunts Nicole Kidman as Grace Kelly. Directed by Olivier Dahan, the film reflects the story of the former Hollywood star Grace Kelly’s crisis of identity who left her career and became a princess. It also portrays the political dispute between Monaco’s Prince Rainier III and France’s Charles De Gaulle, and a looming French invasion of Monaco in the early 1960s.
The movie attracted severe criticism from the royal Prince Albert II, Princess Caroline, and Princess Stephanie who claimed several scenes in the film were completely fictional. Many close to the royal families retorted several film interpretation of the character as derogatory. Despite several requests, the application of change in the screenplay or script went into deaf ears.
Kidman was quoted saying to media that, “Grace of Monaco is not an exact biopic or a celeb documentary. It only depicts a small part of her life when she reveals her great humanity as her fears and weaknesses.”
This movie also starring Frank Langella, Parker Posey, Milo Ventimiglia ,Derek Jacobi and Paz Vega is hitting theaters internationally on 27th November 2013.
