George Clooney’s WW2 caper drama “The Monuments Men” has been rescheduled for a early 2014 release.
Based on the true story of the greatest treasure hunt in history, The Monuments Men is an action drama focusing on an unlikely World War II platoon, tasked by FDR with going into Germany to rescue artistic masterpieces from Nazi thieves and returning them to their rightful owners. The adrenalin gushing drama was scheduled for December 18th release. Though there have been initial delays but the postponement of the movie was confirmed when Clooney went to London to work on the score with composer Alexandre Desplat and realized the December release is not possible.
“There just wasn’t enough time to finish the visual effects and post-production work to meet the December release date,” Clooney told the media.
The movie stars Clooney, Matt Damon, Cate Blanchett. The screenplay and direction is being done by Clooney himself.
The film is reported for a release in the first quarter of 2014. It is rumored for a February release till now!
