“Breaking Bad” emerged big winner in the 66th annual Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Tuesday, taking home the award for Outstanding Drama, and writing for a drama series, Best Actor (Bryan Cranston) in Drama, and Best supporting actor(Aaron Paul) and actress (Anna Gunn) awards.
“I love to act. It’s a passion of mine, and I will do it to my last breath,” said Bryan Cranston in his acceptance speech.
“Modern Family” again took away Best Comedy show awards for a record fifth year, tying with “Frasier”.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus won best actresses in comedy for “Veep” and Julianna Margulies won best actresses in drama for The Good Wife.
Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series gone to Allison Janney for “Mom”. While Jim Parsons aka Sheldon Cooper of “The Big Bang Theory” bagged Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series award for the sitcom.
“Sherlock: His Last Vow” won three awards .
Noted actor Billy Crystal paid tribute to his long-time friend Robin Williams who was found dead on Aug. 11.
“As genius as he was on stage, he was the greatest friend you could ever imagine. It’s very hard to talk about him in the past, because he was so present in all of our lives,’ Crystal said, adding “Robin Williams, what a concept.”
