Laura Dern announced as Witherspoon mom in Wild

After Reese Witherspoon has abuzzed her presence after sharing a sneak peak of her look in the movie Wild at a social networking site, the buzz has been kept alive with the latest news of Laura Dern being playing the mom of Reese in the movie.

Cheryl Strayed’s popular memoir depicts the character who who walks the 1,000-mile Pacific Crest Trail to come in terms with her life. Her addiction to drugs. Her mother’s death. And, a broken marriage. The Nick Hornby written adaptation is being filmed with name Wild with Reese Witherspoon in the lead.

Witherspoon, also a co-producer fell for the story once she read it and bought the rights before even the book getting published. And, she also enlisted Brit author Nick Hornby to pen the script.

With Jean-Marc Vallée donning the director’s hat – the film is lsated for a 2014 release.
