The first poster of Sarabjit was revealed on Wednesday. Sarbjit, directed by Omung Kumar, is a film based on the real life story of Sarbjit Singh. He was an Indian national convicted of terrorism and spying by a Pakistani court.
This film stars Randeep Singh Hooda and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as a brother-sister duo. This is the first time the two charasmatic actors will be seen sharing a brother-sister relationship on-screen. The poster sees Randeep’s character in close up wearing a broken pair of spectacles.
Aishwarya’s character Dalbir Kaur is shown rather worried and stressed. As we know, she worked towards her brothers release till 1991. The poster looks intense and very gripping.
Randeep took his fans and everyone on social media by surprise when he posted a picture online which showed him in the character of Sarbjit. He lost no less than 18kgs in 28 days to fit into his character.
The film, all set to release on 20th May, is director Omung Kumar’s second biopic after earning praises for Mary Kom starring Priyanka Chopra.
We cannot wait for Sarbjit’s life to unfold on the big screen!
