After Javier Bardem, MGM and Sony is eyeing its next Bond villain in another Oscar nominated talent Chiwetel Ejiofor. And, as per the internal sources, the actor may play the villain in the next installment of the Bond series – “Bond 24”. Though no formal offer has been made yet, he is supposed to be the front-runner for the role.
Daniel Craig is returning as Bond with “Skyfall” helmer Sam Mendes as director again. Along with Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris are set to return as well.
The plot details are still kept under wraps. Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson will produce. John Logan is penning the script. The movie will hit the floors this summer.
As per the news, since MGM won back the rights to the Blofeld character and his villainous organization S.P.E.C.T.R.E. last November, the speculation is high that Ejiofor may be playing Ernst Stavro Blofeld. Even John Logan also teased about the return of Blofeld this time.
