VJ Sophiya Haque dies in London

Sophiya Haque, the famous VJ turned actress died at a hospital in London on Thursday. She was 41. She was suffering from cancer.

“Sophiya was a wonderful actress, a wonderful client but so much more than that a wonderful friend. She was adored by everyone she worked with and will be deeply missed,” said Oliver Thomson, Sophiya’s agent.

Sophiya Haque, popular Channel V VJ in 90s was a theater and television actress in England.  She was also the lead singer of 1989 band Akasa.  

Sophiya lived in London with her partner musical director David White.
