Telugu film actor Uday Kiran mysteriously found dead

The 33-year-old Telugu film actor Uday Kiran was found dead on Sunday night at his flat in Sri Nagar colony in Hyderabad. The primary investigation indicates a possible suicide.

Uday Kiran, the winner of the Filmfare best actor award, was reportedly suffering from depression and last night he hanged himself from the ceiling. His parents and his wife found his body and took him to hospital. He was pronounced dead upon arrival.

“Only after getting the autopsy report we will come to know what caused the death. Exact circumstances leading to the death would be known only after the probe,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (West Zone) V Satyanarayana told PTI

Some of Kiran’s popular films were: Chitram, Nuvvu Nenu, Manasantha Nuvve, Nee Sneham, Kalusukovalani. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu for the film Nuvvu Nenu in 2001.
