Rajinikanth joins Twitter in style

Superstar Rajinikanth yestedray joined Twitter in style. He received a grand welcome from his fans across the globe with his maiden tweet acquired over 194,000 followers within hours.

Not surprisingly this Tamil icon got over 10,000 followers even before he tweeted his first 140 characters on Twitter. In his first twit he simply thanked his fans which alone got over 1000 retweets.

This is for the first time for Rajinikanth fans to interact with him directly on any social media site.

“I have always believed that my career graph is a miracle I owe my fans,” Rajinikanth said in a statement after joining Twitter.

“I have been contemplating joining the social media platform for a while to connect with them, hear what they have to say and share my thoughts… I decided to start with Twitter because I felt that the platform is abuzz with all the news and the trends that happen across the globe and I’m told that this is where all the best Rajini one liners are!” he added.

Rajinikanth’s decision to join Twitter comes just a week before his first animated film, Kochadaiiyaan is slated for release.
