Oscar Pistorius sells his home

Para-Olympic star and murder accused Oscar Pistorius has sold his Pretoria home in which he shot dead his girlfriend.

His agent informed that to pay legal fees to continue lengthy murder trial, the “Blade Runner” had to sell the house.

“We have a buyer,” Ansie Louw told AFP, “we went through all the offers. We have accepted one of the bids and the transfer process is now under way.”

The house was reportedly sold around $480,000.

“It has become necessary to sell Mr Pistorius’s home in the Silver Woods Country Estate in Pretoria in order for him to raise the necessary funds to cover his increasing legal costs,” his lawyer Brian Webber said.

The double amputee is accused of killing his 29-year-old girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day last year. He claimed it was an accident as he mistook her for a burglar.
