After Bollywood’s Bhaijaan recently delivered his super-hit blockbuster Sultan, everyone was excitedly waiting for his next venture. Well, all Dabangg Khan fans can now heave a sigh of relief as there is a revelation about his unique role in upcoming ‘Tubelight’.
It is being said that Salman will be seen essaying the role of a mentally disabled person, who acts like a ‘man-child’ and thereby the movie has been aptly titled as ‘Tubelight’. In India, this term is used for the person who understands things slowly and is late in grasping them.
A source told DNA, “It will also be the first time that Salman will play a ‘special’ role in his career where he doesn’t do the usual or play to the gallery. Kabir has taken special effort to make sure that the character is presented sensitively in the film.”
This film goes back to the era of 1960s when India was severely suffering under the impact of the Indo-Chinese war. This one being a cross-border love story, the twist will be added when Salman falls for a Chinese girl amidst the war scenario.
Initially, rumor mills were abuzz with the news of Deepika Padukone being chosen as Salman’s ladylove, but now sources have made it clear that a Chinese girl will be seen debuting in Bollywood as lead in Tubelight.
The film will be extensively shot in Ladakh and will go on floors in the month of August.
After doing two successful films with Kabir Khan, we are undoubtedly excited to see Salman in his new avtar in Tubelight, and not to forget the fresh face that will make her Bollywood debut soon! All we can do is just wait a while for more details to come out because going by the tradition, we can expect the film to release next Eid, as the festival has always proven lucky for Salman since last few years.
