Through her maiden production attempt, Bollywood’s gorgeous lass Anushka Sharma is all set to impress audiences with her acting endowment. Actress who has for the first time turned into a co-producer for NH-10 seems to be in seventh heaven these days as her film recently passed successfully through the rigmarole of A-certification process.
The film had to face lesser hindrance than expected due to the usage of cuss words in the film and was finally approved after deleting one visual cut and few audio cuts. Howbeit, Anushka sternly asserts that despite an A certificate to the film, they haven`t compromised much with the film`s story.
“We don’t want to compromise with our film. We have got an ‘A’ certificate, one visual cut and few audio cuts, which we have accepted,” Anushka said on Wednesday during the launch event of Spring Summer collection inspired by the film ‘NH10’. She further added, “As far as we could, we have not compromised with the story, with what we are trying to show to the audiences. Somewhere we are happy with whatever has happened.”
The latest CBFC diktat controversy wherein it laid down a complete list of ‘abusive words’ which should be banned from using in the films led to the raging storms in Bollywood leaving everyone bewildered. As per reports, the list has been taken back and the decision is under re-verification. When such issues were making rounds, NH-10 team’s hopes of bagging an A certificate were meager. Eventually, the team managed it with just few cuts and heaved a sigh of relief. Anushka also thinks that ‘the films should have only certifications because it is up to individual discussion whether you want to watch the film or not’.
Talking about the movie, it is helmed by Navdeep Singh and has a dark yet realistic approach. Starring Anushka Sharma and Neil Bhoopalam in the lead roles, this hair raising thriller is about a couple’s road trip which soon turns into a nightmare taking various twists and turns. Singh said, “Anushka and Neil did workshops together and I must say their chemistry looks great in the film. As far as action is concerned, it is not glamorized in this film. It’s very realistic action and Anushka took training for that.”
About its darkness, Singh added, “Our reality itself is dark, but I would like to say the reality in small towns is so dark that it gets difficult to capture it on the small screen. And as far as the message in the film is concerned, I feel every film has its own message in it — and that is for the audience to see.”
The eccentric storyline of the film truly seems promising; however, its success relies on the way it has been conceptualized so as to better appeal to the mind`s of audiences. The film initially released on 6th March, 2015 throughout India.
