With numerous biopics slated to release ahead in 2015, the film based on the adventurous expedition of the fictional character Detective Byomkesh Bakshy ranks at the top as well as blazes among all due to the peculiarity the film crew has managed to maintain so far.
Helmed and co-produced by the National award winner Dibakar Banerjee, the film exhibits silver screen -via-small screen commuter Sushant Singh Rajput. The team is yet to unveil the most awaited trailer; nevertheless, the teaser seems enough to translocate the viewers in the catastrophic era of the ghastly Second World War leaving them completely transfixed. The teaser of this suspense thriller even promises the spectators to give a wide outlook of the history of the Indian war, and break out the surprises unconventionally by flashing a stimulating tagline – EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED.
Sources report that Sushant Singh Rajput has been undergoing the hard workout to contribute his best towards the making of the movie. He has swept through the pages of various history books to keep on gaining more knowledge about the war conditions, its causes and effects. It has, although, became a trend among actors these days to enter into the character`s body totally by studying the lesser known facts about them and enliven the assigned role. The commitment and zeal of the lead actor had left everyone awestruck on the movie set. Due to this curious and yearn-to-learn-more nature, he has achieved himself a moniker as HISTORY CHAMPION.
As Byomkesh Bakshy is the fictional character that occurs in the books of Bengali writer Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay, the film is mostly set in the backdrop of Kolkata and shows how Detective Bakshy reveals mysteries and solves linked clues.
Through his comprehensive reading, Sushant found out the history of Eastern Hotel situated in Kolkata and took an initiative to visit there to know more about it practically. The hotel was bombed brutally by Japanese planes during the Second World War. He took a complete view of the hotel simultaneously collecting the information from hotel staff. Sushant then reported, “Though, I have been to Kolkata several times before, this was the first time I visited the hotel. Exactly seventy years ago Japanese bombers had dropped a bomb right here. The vibe and the history of the place brought back the shoot of Byomkesh Bakshy for me – when I was right inside Calcutta 1943! It was like time travel where I had gone back to the past and returned to the future!”
The dedication of this young actor, towards achieving the perfection in his role, is truly noteworthy and it would soon reflect the good marks on silver screen for sure on 10th April 2015.
