When film-maker Vipul Sharma announced that he would be coming back with Namastey England, we could not contain our excitement. He promised that the movie will follow a completely new storyline and will not be a continuation of Namastey London.
Soon, Akshay Kumar was chosen to play the lead and rumors were that either Katrina or Kangana would play the female lead. But all those rumors were put to rest when Sonakshi Sinha joined him. After starring opposite one another in many successful films, this development did not come as a surprise and was in fact a good move on behalf of the film-maker.
The film was originally scheduled to go on floor this April but was pushed to August. But as the date is coming near, we hear that the film is already going through some financial issues. A source close to film told Mumbai Mirror, “It’s a brilliant script but the story demands a lot of prep and the film has to be lavishly mounted. Since this takes time, Vipul has decided to put the film on hold while he arranges the finances.”
It was earlier thought that Akshay Kumar was not paying enough attention to the project and preferring other films over it. But now all that seems clear.
We hope that the film makers are able to solve these issues soon because we cannot wait to see these to superstars back together again.
