Reza Aslan’s ‘Zealot’ sparks controversy

Muslim author Reza Aslan’s latest biography of Jesus sparks controversy and outrage in USA. Articulating their Islamophobia, some critics in US have protested against Reza’s book on Jesus and raised question whether as a Muslim he had any right to write on Jesus.

Reza Aslan's 'Zealot' sparks controversy In an interview with Reza Aslan, Fox News Interviewer Lauren Green expressed the same sentiment when she suggested that Reza had no right to write on Jesus.

Replying to Green, Iran-born Reza said, “Well, to be clear. I am a scholar of religions with four degrees, including one in the New Testament, and fluency in biblical Greek, zealotwho has been studying the origins of Christianity for two decades, who also just happens to be a Muslim.”

Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth has been a bestselling book since its release. The book was Amazon’s No 1 seller and also on the New York Times best-seller list.

Reza Aslan portrays Jesus as a revolutionary Jewish and not as messiah who wanted to stop Roman rule in Palestine on behalf of the poor.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
