No one can be forced to love. It is a feeling that develops naturally. It involves passion, sentiments, emotions, attachments and yes, sacrifices too. There comes a twist in every story but every story doesn’t have the same twist. Yash Pawaskar’s debut novel ‘When We Clicked – A Twisted Love Story’ embraces readers with a sparkling tale of two strangers who meet in a metropolitan and instantly get close to each other.
On seeing Tamanna, a tourist, at the airport, Akhil Parlekar goes to help her out. Indeed, he gets attracted towards her and lies that he runs a travel agency. Tamanna who comes to Mumbai to accomplish her photography challenge, instantly trusts Akhil who later becomes her guide. Akhil and Tamanna wander in the city and explore sights every day. Akhil takes her to the marvellous tourist locations of Mumbai. The two try out the local transports and special dishes of the city.
In the meantime, Akhil falls for Tamanna so much that he just cannot distance himself from her. He even thinks of confessing his feelings, but remains in a dilemma whether to do so or not. And on the last day of Tamanna’s tour, he chalks something special for her and decides to confess when something shocking happens. What exactly happens with the two? Will he be able to confess his feelings? Well, this is what you need to find out from the story.
This anecdote is unlike those typical ‘Love Stories’, and is a blend of romance and thrill. The book takes readers through a journey of emotions like humour, lust, hatred, betrayal, heroism, friendship and of course the biggest emotions of them all – love. Though the thrill factor is introduced for a while in the end, it plays an important role in holding readers attention.
The cover is intriguing and leaves readers to make a guess about the story. The title sounds exciting. The style in which the author has narrated the story is completely unique. The book creates such a hype that readers won’t feel like putting it down before it ends. The plot is well managed. Characters are not many and readers won’t get confused in between.
Talking about the flaws, many scenes begin with the same line. The author could have given them a wonderful start instead of using the same line to begin each scene. I found out a very few grammatical errors in the book which obviously could have been avoided. Apart from these, the book has no other errors, and assures a fantastic plus entertaining time for readers.
My dear booklovers and readers, you must invest both, your time and money in the book as the story hooks you completely till the end. It doesn’t lack any factor and hence it is capable of winning hearts of readers (It won mine).
