Like many of you, I too picked up this novel by its witty and catchy title! But as they say never judge a book by its title! “Oh Yes I am single and so is my Girlfriend” is just another “Campus Novel” by Durjoy Dutta. Deb, the main protagonist of the novel is a fat and nerdy guy who transforms into a cool dude in college. Deb is a guy who falls in love every now and then. He takes every small fling as a potential relationship.
This vicious cycle of love & break-ups continues in his life till he finds Manika! NO rewards for guessing – Deb finds his soul mate in Manika.
Same old-bad guy turning good for a girl- the same drama- adds nothing new to the storyline.
Durjoy sticks to his youthful slang, which makes this book staler. Only Durjoy Dutta fans are advised to pick up this book, for others there are many authors writing stuffs worth reading.
