Apart from the great holiday break summer gives us, it can be a life-threatening time for some people. I’m absolutely sure that some people out there have intense loathing for summer. The hot temperature drives us crazy especially in India. The main reason we welcome summer is mangoes. Indians love mangoes and also the pickles we make from that. Mango pickles are breath-taking and we preserve them for a whole year.
So let’s look at the darker side of this:
Unanticipated power cuts:
Even though power cuts are pretty common in India, we are always shocked at its arrival. It can happen anytime, it can be your chilling time or the most unreasonable time of the day. Just imagine you have a long and tiring day, you came to bed at 12:30 AM to relax and suddenly ‘shoot!’ a power cut happens. It can be extremely irritating.
Summer tan:
You wish to hang out with your friends but you can’t, you wish to go shopping but you can’t, you wish to go out for a ride but you can’t, because the sunlight out there is lurid and unhealthy causing unpleasant effects. One such effect is tan. The colour change can be disgusting.
Electricity bills are soaring:
Electricity bills go higher and higher but the comfort is never enough. The air conditioner runs day and night without a break for our survival.
Urge for bathing:
Due to the vigorous sweating the only hope left is bathing. Sweat loves us and reaches us right after the bath, so you feel like bathing thrice a day. It is not a bad idea though.
Out of perfumes:
The amount of perfume we use in summers is way higher than in winter. We use them to cover up the bad smell that comes from sweat. So perfumes are the real heroes.
The above mentioned are a few things that suck during summers.
