Kylie Jenner’s Birthday Collection

Kylie Jenner, earlier last week, told the world about her most exclusive launch till date. The media star took to her favourite platform, Snapchat, to announce her most awaited Birthday Collection. Ever since she expanded her business to not just lip kits but cosmetics, we have all been waiting to see what she’s got in store for us.

The lip kit mogul showed us all a sneak peak of all the products in her birthday collection on her snapchat (which, by the way,is – kylizzlemynizzl). She affectionately swatched the products on herself and her best friend, Jordyn’s, hand.

Kylie’s Birthday Collection is a limited edition collection from the kyliecosmetics line which includes a makeup bag, one metal lipstick, one gloss, one matte lip kit, one mini liquid lipsticks kit, crème gel shadows, her bronze KyLiner kit (one of the most exciting products) and a synthetic angled brush. The makeup bag retails for about $42.

Talking about the new Metal Lipstick- Lord which comes in a 3ml bottle, is a bronze-y gold colour with a creamy mousse-y texture. It has a shimmery metallic finish. The packaging of this product has gold detailing on it which sets it apart from the other LipKits packaging. Lord retails for about $19.

The Poppin’ gloss also has a gold undertone to it. It slides on the lips smoothly and evenly leaves behind a lustrous effect. It delivers a long lasting brilliant look. Kylie’s tip is to pair it up with your favourite Matte lip liner and you’re good to go. Poppin’ retails for about $16.

Her birthday kit would have been incomplete without a new LipKit. The newest member to the Matte LipKit familia, Leo is the perfect shade of deep burgundy. The LipKit comes with a lip liner and a matte liquid lipstick. Leo LipKit retails for about $30.

Coming to the Mini Matte Lipstick Kit, the kit contains six of Kylie’s existing Liquid lipsticks namely- Koko K, Candy K, Kristen, Exposed, Dolce K and Leo. Their size is much smaller than the normal liquid lipsticks. These minis retail for about $36.

What’s interesting is that all of these products have real gold in them, which sets them apart from the other lipkits and lipsticks in general. The gold helps keep the lips hydrated and moisturised.

Next up, we have the crème shadows. Truly, one of a kind. These shadows come in Rose Gold and Copper shades. They are Gel shadows which have real gold in them, again. They retail for about $20 each.

Coming to the KyLiner, one of the most exciting things about the makeup bag, The KyLiner kit comes with a shimmering deep brown Créme gel liner, a cream eye pencil and a synthetic angled brush. One of Kylie’s personal favourites, this dark brown eyeliner is to die for. It’s perfect for creating the perfect winged liner as it glides on the eyelid and gives a dramatic look. This also, has gold in it. The KyLiner kit retails for about $38.

It’s interesting to see how Kylie incorporated real gold in all the products of her Birthday Collection. It definitely gives her products an edge and is an amazing way to celebrate another successful year in her life.
