One of the oldest National Parks and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kaziranga National Park is the pride of Assam. Situated in Golghat and Nagaon District , Kaziranga National Park is popular for its two-third population of the World’s Great One-horned Rhinoceroses. Kaziranga National Park has the highest density of Tigers among the protected are and was declared a Tiger Reserve in 2006. Kaziranga also has large population of elephants, water buffaloes and swamp deer.Kaziranga National park is divided into 3 parts namely Kohora, Baghori and Agaratoli. By Air: The nearest Airport is situated at Guwahati, which is 217kms away from the park. Cab Service can be hired to reach the park.
By Rail: The nearest railhead is Furkating, situated 75kms away from Kaziranga National Park. Taxi service can be hired to reach the National Park.
By Road: Local & Private buses ply regularly from Guwahati, Tezpur and Upper Assam to Kaziranga National Park.
Permits:
Visitors need to take permit to enter into Kaziranga national park. They have to register at the Tourist center in the Bonani Tourist Lodge.

There are limited restaurants in the area near the national Park. Food here is expensive, though most lodging provide their own food. Some of the must try are Sankar Dhaba, Tridev Restaurant and Wild Grass Lodge.
