One of the oldest Treks – Singalila Kanchenjunga Trek is along the Indo-Nepali Border in the Sikkim in the foot of Mt. Kanchenjunga. Earlier restricted, the Sikkim Government opened the Trek for Trekkers from the year 2000. Singalila Kanchenjunga Trek brings you close to the Tibetan culture and the scenic Himalayan Beauty. One of the rarest spots, Singalila Kanchenjunga Trek gives you an amazing view of 5 summits rising above 8000m amongst Everest, Makalu and Lhotse ranges. The Trek is a delight for any adventure lovers giving them delightful view of the Himalayan Meadows and folds. If you are culture explorer – this trek makes you come in touch with different Sikkim monasteries like Pemayangtse, Tashiding, Rumtek and adds a pinch of rare adventure.

Snow-capped Mountains, lush green valleys, cascading waterfalls and rivers and beautiful monasteries, this trek gives you a close encounter with Sikkim Culture & Natural beauty.

The trek begins from Yuksam, where Rathong River and dense mixed jungle with magnolia, rhododendron, ferns and several varieties of orchids, brightly colored birds gives you a beautiful start to the trek and ends at Lamuney.

Temperature: – Maximum 12°C and Minimum 6°C during March-June season and Minimum 1°C to Maximum 6°C in October-November season

Siliguri >Sukna > Rangtong > Kurseong > Tung >Sonada > Ghoom > Manebhanjan >Tonglu

By Air: Nearest airport is Bagdogra airport

By Rail: The nearest railway station is NJP Railway Station

Trek Route: The trek starts at Gangtok town & Rumtek Monastery and ends at Goecha La Pass

Places to visit: Visit the beautiful monasteries of Tibet – Pemayangtse, Tashiding and Rumtek and of course Singalila National Park.

Travel Tips:

# One has to be physically fit to be able to complete this trek.

# Take good trekking shoes for the trek as some roads are slippery.

# Take Sun glasses to protect from UV rays

# Carry your personal medicine kit and first aid kit

# Phone signals are available almost in full route. So don’t worry about communications

# Satellite phone facilities are available at Kalapokhri and Gurdum

# Solar panel electricity is available at route so you can easily recharge cell phones and camera batteries.
