The former Portuguese colony and union territory since 1961, Dadra and Nagar Haveli is located on the western India. Satmalia: On the way to Khanvel , Satmalia is must a stop over. It is famous for its wildlife
sanctuary. This sanctuary include animals like Sambhar, Chital deer and Black bucks. Different variety of birds are also found here like peacock, wood peckers and thrushes .
Kauncha: an ideal place for the trekkers. Kauncha offers tourists many adventurous and out door activites like putting up tent on banks of Madhuban Dam, jet skies, boating, rowing boat and many more.
Cuisine served in Dadra and Nagar haveli are mainly tribal. The mouthwatering food is cooked using wild mushrooms , bamboo shoots, rice, leaves etc. Crabs, River fish like rohu, katla and mirgals carp are the delicacy of Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
