Motorola recently launched the Moto X Play in India, the phone is available exclusively via flipkart and is available in 16 as well as 32 GB storage options.
As of the specifications go the Moto X play houses a 5.5 inch Full HD 1080p display with corning’s gorilla glass 3. The phone is powered by a snapdragon 615 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.7 GHz along with 2 GB of RAM to keep the device running smoothly.
The Moto X Play will also be a delight for photographers and photography enthusiast alike, the rear sports a 21 MP sensor along with f/2.0 aperture and dual tone CCT flash. Also on offer is phase direct auto focus and full HD video recording. The front too sports a decent 5 MP sensor for all the selfie needs.
The main USP of the phone along with the camera is its battery which is of 3,630 mAh which is claimed to last about 48 hours on light to moderate usage. There is also TurboPower support which charges the battery up to 50% in 15 minutes, but to use this feature the consumer will need a TurboCharger which isn’t bundled with the phone and will be sold separately for 1,000 Rs.
The phone comes in 16 GB or 32 GB variants along with a Micro SD expansion slot up to 128 GB, the phone also has nano coating which makes the phone water repellent to an extent. Connectivity options on offer include dual sim card slots along with 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC etc. on the software front the phone will run on android 5.1.1 with no custom skin applied to bloat the UI.
