The new Samsung SmartPhone
Ever since the release of the Galaxy Tab 7.7 in 2011, we have all been waiting for the next generation of tablets coming up. Finally after a wait of three years, they have arrived with a huge collection of Tablets, one of which is Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4. The best feature found in these tablets is the size which is extremely thin and the durability of these tablets. The powerful hardware platforms with Touch Wiz features like Multi Window and many more have made it more functional and ever attracting. The Tab S 8.4 has a super amoled screen with a super sharp 2560 x 1600 resolution. With a smaller display, it is even sharper with 359 pixels per inch of the given screen space. It’s thin, well designed and beautiful in its looks. It’s also the nicest high end android tablet we have ever seen though it is being surrounded by its highest competitors.
Reviews of Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4
Samsung has indeed produced a very promising tablet in the Galaxy Tab S 8.4. Some of the reviews and features are listed below:
- Design
This tab has metal and curved edges which makes its look and feel far classierthan any other smart phone or tablet. Size and weight are its true strengths with just 6.6 mm in size and weighs about 294g. It becomes very easy to hold it comfortably in one hand and also read and browse while moving. This proves the proper balancing of its size and portability while using it. The plastic ring around the tablet channels the flat and brushes finish out. The colors available are dazzling white and titanium bronze. The back is slightly textured with soft touch plastic along with stereo speakers on the top and bottom edges. People are also amazed with the thin microSD card slot being given.
Performance and Networking
The Galaxy Tab S uses the same processor like any other Samsung models with four 1.9 GHz cores and four 1.3 GHz cores to save energy. Reviews have stated that it also has a super high resolution screen taking on the toll along with better screen transitions. It also has a 14 fps onscreen with the GFX Bench T-Rex benchmark and also with 2.9 fps with the Manhattan benchmark.
Camera and Multimedia
Reviews have stated that this tab has come with 16 GB of storage of which only 11.5 GB can be used by the user. The remaining media can be stored in the micro SD card. The 8 mega pixel camera and 1 mega pixel front camera are the best and sharp ones along with a LED flash that lit up a dark room. Both cameras are having 1080p video for front door and outdoor videos which are noiseless. This helps it to play H.264, XVID or DIVX content very easily which are also being used by various play back apps.
Thus, the media has stated that Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has slapped down Sony Xperia’s new Tab with its superior screen along with punch colors and the cost as less compared to Sony Xperia’s Tab. The most critical competitors have stated that these features have taken up all the other tabs with much lower prices along with best features added in it.
Price: The3G variant of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is priced at Rs. 37,800 and will be available in India from the second week of July.
