Xiaomi dubbed as China’s Apple recently forayed into the Indian markets and took the markets by storm, they have recently launched the new phone the Mi4i at the exclusive event held in Delhi. The phone will be a successor to the Mi3 which was well received by the Indian audience, Mi4i is designed to be a affordable flagship for the masses.
To start with the phone is priced at Rs. 13,999 and comes in 5 different colors. The front of the phone is dominated by a 5 inch full HD display while the phone is powered by snapdragon 615 octa-core chipset coupled with 2 GB of RAM. There is a 13 MP rear camera with dual tone dual LED flash and a 5 MP front camera to satisfy all the photography enthusiasts as well as all selfie lovers out there. There are dual sim card slot both of which support 4G LTE. Connectivity options include WiFi , Bluetooth, 3G, 4G LTE and the usual options. It’s 7.8 mm thick and weighs just 130 grams
The phone runs MIUI6 which is based on android Lollipop which is the latest version of the operating system. MIUI is a custom skin applied by Xiaomi over stock android much like Samsung’s TouchWiz or HTC’s Sense UI. The user interface is quite different to that of stock android and has a lot of customization done to it, it also provides various gestures and other customization options. Some love the MIUI some hate it, I personally belong to the latter. The only downside to the Mi4I is that there is no expandable storage slot provided so you’ll be stuck with 16 GB of internal storage.
The Mi4i will again be available via flash sales where the consumer has to first register to buy the product then at a given date and time a fixed number of units are made available to the consumer where the consumers have add the product to cart ASAP or it runs out of stock. The first flash sale is on the 30th of April.
