ITC judge says Samsung violets key part of Apple patentIn its preliminary decision International Trade Commission (ITC) judge said that South Korean company Samsung Electronics had violate a key part of an Apple patent by using a text-selection feature in its devices including smartphones and tablets.

The judge said that Samsung however did not breach portions of another Apple patent which allows gadget to detect if it is plugged into its microphone jack.
The final verdict is expected in August this year.

World’s second largest smartphone maker Apple has filed complaint in 2011 against World’s largest smartphone maker Samsung for using its seven patented technology in making smartphones like Samsung Galaxy and other devices.
