Asus Launches the Zenfone 2 Laser

Asus recently held their Zenfest in India where they launched a handful of new devices.

The Zenfone 2 Laser comes in 3 different variants namely ZE550KL and ZE601KL, the ZE550KL has 2 variants with 2 GB and 3 GB of RAM respectively. The ZE601KL comes with a 6 inch full HD screen.

The ZE550KL comes with a 5.5 inch HD display protected by corning’s gorilla glass 4, there are 2 different variants which are powered by 2 different chipsets, the ZE550KL with 2 GB of RAM is powered by Snapdragon 410 quad-core chipset and ZE550KL with 3 GB of RAM is powered by Snapdragon 615  octa-core chipset. The ZE601KL comes with 6 inch full HD display and identical specifications to the ZE550KL 3 GB version. There is 16 GB of internal storage which can be further increased up to 128 Gb via the help of a MicroSD card

All 3 devices come with 13 MP rear camera with laser auto focus which is a feature seen in high end devices such as LG G3 and G4 and OnePlus Two. There is a realtone flash to accompany the camera and the laser focus unit. On the front the Zenfone 2 Laser features a 5 MP Selfie camera.

On the software front the Zenfone 2 runs on android lollipop under ZenUI 2.0, all the devices are powered by a 3,000 mAh battery and include connectivity options such as 3G, 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth etc. the phone will be available in Pure Black, Ceramic White, Glamour Red colors.

The Zenfone 2 laser with 2 GB of RAM is priced quite aggressively at Rs. 9,999. The Zenfone 2 Laser with 3 GB of RAM is priced at Rs. 13,999 and the 6 inch version is priced at Rs. 17,999.f
