Apple recently launched the next generation iPod touch in India to bring it on par with the current iPhones.
Like the previous generation iPod touch the current one still offers a 4 inch retina display, the camera gets a big bump from a 5 MP camera to a 8 MP shooter and the front FaceTime HD camera although having the same 1.2 MP image sensor has improved image quality. Apple has also added the Slo-Mo video and burst mode as seen in the iPhones.
The insides of the phone have also got an upgrade to the A8 chipset complimented by M8 motion chip for activity tracking. The A8 processor is a 64 bit chipset.
On the software front the new iPod touch comes pre-loaded with iOS 8.4 which in turn means that the new iPod comes with apple music pre-loaded the apple music boasts over 30 million songs, along with a 24/7 global radio.
To let users get a taste of it before they actually pay, Apple is offering three month free trial of Music. After the trial period, users in India will have to pay Rs 120 per month for individual accounts, and Rs 190 per month for a family account.
The piece point at which the new iPod goes on sale starts at rs. 18,900 for the 16 GB model while the 32 and 64 GB models are priced at rs. 22,900 and 26,900 respectively.
It is available in colors including space gray, silver, gold, pink, and blue.
