In the last edition we saw what 2015 gave us in budget and mid-range segment, in this edition we bring to you what high-end and flagships gave us during the year.

1. Samsung Galaxy S6: Rs 39,900
S6 the flagship for 2015 by Samsung houses a 5.1 inch Quad HD super AMOLED display with corning’s gorilla glass 4 protection. Under the hood is an Exynos octa-core chipset paired with 3 GB for RAM. With either 32 GB or 64 GB memory options. The rear houses a 16 MP OIS camera sensor while the front has a 5 MP sensor. The main USP of the device has to be its impressive design which was like a breeze of fresh air compared to the older phones Samsung made. There is also a finger print sensor embedded in the home button.
2. LG G4 : Rs 38,990
LG answer to the flagships the G4 boasts of a 5.5 Quad HD IPS panel. Under the hood the G4 is powered by a Hexa core Snapdragon 808 coupled with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage and the option to expand storage via a micro SD card. On the rear is a 16 MP OIS camera with laser auto focus while the front houses an 8 MP camera for all those perfect selfies. The design of the G4 was something commendable and practical with its semi arched back; a leather cover and a small footprint made it a perfect device.

1. Sasmung Note 5 : Rs 53,900
The note 5 had a completely new design with an all glass and metal body, a 5.7 inch QHD Super AMOLED display and a super fast octa core processor chipset with 4 GB of RAM made is one of the greatest performer in 2015. The note 5 missed out on the 2 main aspects any big screen business phone should have being the availability of expandable storage and removable battery. The note 5 like its fellow galaxy phones too had a finger print senor in the home button. A 16 MP rear camera and 5 MP front are fitted in the note 5 for all those shutterbugs.
2. Apple iPhone 6s/6s Plus : Rs 47,000/Rs 72,000
Apples warrior in the flagship battle the 6s and the 6s plus came with a 4.7 inch retina display and a 5.5 inch full HD retina display respectively. Apple claimed that the only thing that changed in the 6s and 6s plus was everything. Although Apple never reveals what increments they have made in the hardware, the RAM was doubled and the processor now gave computer like performance. the inclusion of 3D touch was the main USP of the phone, 3D touch in essence is a pressure sensitive touch panel which gives different result for different amount of force excreted. The rear cameras were upgraded to a 12 MP sensor while the front was upgraded to 5 MP one. The Touch ID finger print sensor is now more efficient.
3. Samsung galaxy S6 edge : Rs 51,000
A dual curved display which gives the impression of it melting into the body of the phone to create one magical product, that’s what the S6 edge plus is; a 5.7 inch Quad HD display and octa core Exynos processor and 4 GB of RAM makes the S6 edge one of the star performers of 2015 right up there with the note 5. The main USP of the device was its dual edge display and its fluidic design. The cameras too are decent with a 16 MP rear and a 5 MP front camera the S6 edge too has a finger print sensor embedded.
The trend in high end and flagship devices was to beat each other in innovation, design, usability and practicality in all its aspects. 2016 will again continue in the same way where every major player will try to beat its competition. A personal computer like performance, improved fingerprint sensors and pressure sensitive displays seems like the most possible staple in the flagships.
