Gerdau, the leading producer of long steel in the Americas and one of the largest suppliers of special steel in the world, participated in the Association of Indian Forging Industries in their Golden jubilee year hosted their biennial conference Forge Tech India 2016 in Delhi. Gerdau with their participation in forge tech would like to be abreast with the latest innovative technology which can positively impact their processes and offerings.
The theme at this year’s conference was “Promoting Forging through Unity”. The conference was attended by over 510 Indian & International delegates. Gerdau was one of the gold sponsors for the event. Mr. Sridhar Krishnamoorthy MD of Gerdau delivered a key note address wherein he gave insightful views on the present and future trends that are shaping the manufacturing sector and how it will impact steel and the forging industry.
To highlight the technological superiority of Gerdau, Mr. Narendra Shukla presented a case study on the surface quality requirements. The delegates got a chance to interact and get in-depth knowledge about Gerdau and their processes.
