To commemorate the birth of Bharat Ratna Sri Mokshagundam Visveswarayya
Hyderabad – Association of Consulting Civil Engineers, India organized the Engineer’s Day Celebrations, which was celebrated in memory of statesman and reformer M Visvesvaraya at Hotel Moksh. The Chief Guest Sri. R. Vidyasagar Rao, Former Chief Engineer, CWC & presently Advisor to Govt. of Telangana felicitated the engineers on behalf of the association.
On the occasion, five Eminent Engineers including Er. C. Sekhar Reddy, National President CREDAI, Dr. Dayaratnam- Former Vice Chancellor, JNTU (AP), Dr. S. Venkateswara Rao, Prof of Civil Engg, Er. Ragahvan, ENC (Retd) R&B, Govt of AP and Er. Saibaba, Chief Engineer Indian Railways were felicitated in recognition of their contribution in the field of Civil Engineering.
Er. G Ram Reddy Secretary ACCE (I) highlighted some rare facts and achievements of Sir M. Visvesvaraya and the eminent Civil engineers honored on the occasion and inspired the gathering to follow the qualities like leadership, selflessness, dedication, time consciousness, challenging attitude, etc. to emerge as more proficient engineers.
Er. K RajKumar Chairman, ACCE (I) who presided expressed his happiness about such celebrations which will motivate the younger generation to emulate the work carried by Sir M Visvesvaraya and take the inspiration from the contributions of the eminent civil engineers like C Shekar Reddy National President CREDAI and the other eminent engineers who were honored.
The programme was attended by about 120 members which comprised leading Civil Engineering consultants, heads and faculty of various engineering colleges, members of other organizations like Builders Association of India and dealers in construction materials.
About Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India)
Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India) was formed and registered in 1985 by a group of Consulting Civil Engineers in Bangalore. The main object of the association is to encourage and foster the ideals of the profession, to hold conferences/meetings/seminars for dissemination of knowledge amongst the civil engineers in particular and the society at large. ACCE (I) with its head quarters at Bangalore, has since grown into a National Association with centres formed all over India including Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bidar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Davangere, Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Mangalore, Madurai, Mumbai, Mysore, Nagpur, Nashik and Vishakapatnam.
