Subhramaniam Swamy – The Man Who Rocks the UPA Government

Janata Party president Subaramanian Swamy wins again. Last week he accomplished victory when the Supreme Court set a three-month deadline for government to give sanction for prosecuting corrupt officials. Now today On basis of his original petition the Supreme Court has given most important verdict in the 2G Spectrum Allocation Scam. The Apex Court today cancelled 122 telecom licenses given by UPA 2 from 2008.

Subaramanian Swamy  who alone started the battle against the powerful UPA government, alleged that Spectrum licenses was awarded at throwaway prices to select companies and major conspiracy is behind the allocation. Eventually the scam revealed, the single biggest scam in independent India  – the 2G spectrum Allocation Scam. In result of the revelation 2 cabinet ministers were sent to jail and government faced public embarrasment and anger.

Swamy filed the petition demanding a CBI probe into the alleged role of current  home minister and then finance minister P. Chidambaram in 2Gspectrum allocation scam. Swamy argued that A. Raja is not alone in this fraud, he alleged Chidambaram as co-accused in this conspiracy.
The Supreme court today left it to the trial court to seal the fate of Home Minister P Chidambaram in making him an co-accuse in the 2G scandal. The verdict from trail court will come withing next few days.

In his first reaction on the verdict, a visibly pleased Subaramanian Swamy said, “This is the best judgement that could be possible; the country can be justifiably proud of Supreme Court.”

Swamy told reporters, “I will prove that Mr Chidambaram is a crook.” “2G is a big scam and it is a collective failure of the government,” he added.
