The West Indies team announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming 3-match one day series against India which begins after the ongoing 2-match test series. Dwayne Bravo who will be leading the side and Kieron Pollard will be making a comeback after being rested from the ongoing test series. Sunil Narine and Ravi Rampaul are the other notable inclusions in the WI team.
However fast bowler Kemar Roach will be heading home before the second test which starts on November 14 in Mumbai because of a shoulder injury which has kept him away from the practice matches as well as the first test. He will not be able to feature in the one-dayers too. WI team physio CJ Clark said, “Kemar has not made the expected recovery from the shoulder injury that kept him out of the first Test and he is returning to the Caribbean for ongoing management and subsequent physical rehabilitation. Shannon Gabriel has been selected as the replacement for Roach for the second test and is expected to arrive here just before the star of the last test.
