Virender Sehwag was dropped from the Indian cricket team for the remaining two Test matches against Australia due to poor form. Selectors have not picked any immediate replacement for Sehwag. There was no other changes in the squad.
Sehwag’s poor form continues for the last five consecutive Test matches and in last three innings he had only managed to score 27 runs.
Now Sehwag has to compete with his long-time opening partner Gautam Gambhir to regain the opening slot.
The next twoTest matches to be played in Mohali (from March 14) and Delhi (from March 22). India is leading the series 2-0.
