At last Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel wins his first race on the home soil as the World champion wins German Grand Prix on Sunday in an incident filled Formula One race. This was Vettel’s the 30th win of his career.
Lotus’ Kimi Raikkonen completed the race in close second spot while his team mate Romain Grosjean ended in third.
“Unbelievable, I’m very happy, Kimi was pushing very hard in the race, they tried to do something different with different compound tyres. That was a tough one, I was pushing really hard throughout and I’m very happy to finally win in Germany,” delighted Vettel said.
German Grand Prix was as eventful as horrifying. Red Bull’s Mark Webber’s wheel injured a cameraman of official F1 TV; Paul Allen endured a broken shoulder, Jules Bianchi’s car caught fire and Paul Di Resta almost hit Jean-Eric Vergne in the pits. Finally Red Bull was fined 30,000 Euros by race stewards.
