Batting mastero Sachin Tendulkar said goodbye to the first-class career with a match-winning knock today. With his fine unbeaten 79 in the second innings, Sachin led Mumbai to a four-wicket win against Haryana in the Ranji Trophy match at Lahli.
With this win Mumbai got full six points.
“It was a challenging wicket. It was fun to bat on this wicket as the bowlers had a lot of help on this wicket, good challenge. 240 was a big total to chase, outfield was bit on the slower side. Though it was 240, it looked more like 280. Haryana side played very good cricket; they put on a very good show,” Tendulkar said after the match.
Sachin also said that he is looking forward to play his last 2 test matches against West Indies.
“Yes, I’m definitely looking forward to those games. I would also like to thank the people of Lahli for making this match memorable for me.”
