Batting mastero Sachin Tendulkar finally breaks his silence on IPL spot-finxing scandal and said he is shocked and disappointed.
“Developments in the last two weeks have been shocking and disappointing. It always hurts me when [the] game of cricket is in news for wrong reasons,” Tendulkar said on Friday.
Tendulkar’s remark comes at a time when BCCI’s internal politics makes the image of Indian cricket near to a joke.
In the morning Prime Minister Manmohan Singh spoke on IPL scam and he said sports and politics should not get mixed up.
“It’s not prudent to comment while investigations are underway. I hope that sport doesn’t get mixed up with politics,” Manmohan Singh said.
Meanwhile IPL CEO Sundar Raman has filed an FIR against Gurunath Meiyappan, India Cements and the Rajasthan Royals in a Mumbai court.
If sources are to be believed then N Srinivasan’s fate as BCCI chief will be decided in next 72 hours. Anti-Srinivasan members are planning to call an emergency meeting if he does not quit within next few hours.
