Dravid played 164 tests and scored 13288 runs. With 36 test century Dravid is the second highest run-getter in test cricket history. Dravid is the player who scored centuries against all test playing nations.
President of BCCI mr. N. Srinivasan and former team mate Anil Kumble was present when the gentleman cricketer Rahul Dravid announced his retirement.
In his statement Rahul said, ” I retire with sadness and pride. Representing India was Privilege. I have to thanks team I have played with. But it’s time for young generation to take over. It’s time for me to move on.” “ I have failed at times but never stops trying,” he adds.
