The Supreme Court today said that the suspended BCCI president N Srinivasan’s name were among the 13 people in the sealed Mukul Mudgal committee report on IPL 6 spot-fixing and betting scandal.
The SC asked BCCI to conduct the probe into the scam while maintaining its functional autonomy, however, Srinivasan should be stay away. The Apex court also said that if BCCI doesn’t probe itself, then court will appointment a Special Investigation Team (SIT).
The SC has allowed IPL’s current chief operating officer (COO), Sundar Raman, to continue in his post.
Earlier Srinivasan had filed an affidavit asking why he was removed by the SC as BCCI president.
The SC has not only asked him to stay away from BCCI office, it also asked the BCCI to reply its investigation plan against those named in the report.
