Mumbai Police today searched BCCI chief N Srinivasan’s son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan’s residence in Chennai. However they fail to meet both Srinivasan and Meiyappan.
Reports claim that Mumbai crime branch later have served a summons for Gurunath to appear before them for interrogation.
Gurunath Meiyappan is also Chennai Super Kings’ principal and CEO. His name has come up in the IPL spot-fixing scam.
After actor Vindu Dara Singh’s admission to have connection with “a close relative of a powerful IPL franchise owner who wields enormous clout in the world of cricket,” the whole cricket world became stunned and later the heat reach to BCCI president’s doorstep when it was revealed that the person Vindu named was in fact BCCI chief N Srinivasan’s son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan.
Vindu Dara Singh was arrested on Tuesday for his role in IPL betting scam.
