Tottenham Hotspurs suffers yet another defeat under present coach Andre Vilas Boas by more than 5 goals. This time it was Liverpool. Previously they lost out 6-0 to Manchester City few days back. To worsen the situation they reduced to 10 men as Paulinho was sent off after some rash display of football from the player.
Liverpool who has shown their brilliance on the field in patches was at their best on Sunday. They were deprived of the services of their old warhorse Steven Gerrard and Daniel Agger. But that could not lower the graph of their performance. It was some scintillating display of football from the day’s captain Luis Suarez who scored a brace and could have scored more had he been a bit more perfect. None-the-less it was a great performance from the Uruguayan well supported by the likes of Jordan Henderson, Jon Flanagan and Raheem Sterling, who all had their names on the score sheet, that enabled the Reds to achieve a great away success from home since September.
There were also chances for the home side as well but those chances were either well taken care by the Liverpool defenders or squandered away by the forwards of the home team. However Spurs do really need to pull up their socks in order to acquire a respectable position in the table at the end of the title race.
