In what is arguably the fiercest London derby the blues came out on top for the 6th consecutive premier league game which means that the gunners haven’t got the better of the blues in the league for the past 3 seasons.
There was an early twist when Per Mertesacker went for an early shower after bringing Diego Costa down when he was about to be one on one with the Goalkeeper.
The Brazilian came back to haunt the gunners 6 minutes after Arsenal were down to 10 storming through 3 defenders and converting Branislav Ivanovic’s cross into the back of the net.
